A.J. Schraeder
A.J. Schraeder has been performing and writing sketch comedy for nearly two decades. During that time, he has toured sketch comedy shows at colleges across the country, been invited to comedy festivals across North America, and sold commercial ideas and content to brands around the world. A.J. is a previous winner of one of North Carolina’s largest solo comedy competitions, “The Ultimate Comic Challenge” and his shows have been awarded the title of Best in Fest at the Columbus Brew HaHa and Atlanta Sketchfest. His performance at SF Sketchfest was reviewed by Julie Lawless of rhum.org as “ridiculously hilarious”. He is also a 2-time winner of Charlotte’s 48 Hour Film Project and his videos have amassed over a million views on the short-form video platform Rizzle. In the commercial world, he has worked with major brands such as Doritos, Legos, and Anheuser-Busch InBev. His list of festival credits includes SF Sketchfest, Toronto Sketchfest, The North Carolina Comedy Festival, Flyover Comedy Festival, Rise Comedy Festival, New York Sketchfest, and many more.
Rails Comedy
Rails Comedy is a comedy troupe based in Washington, DC, that packs live sketches, characters, music, digital shorts, and more into one fun-filled show! They have performed in the Austin Sketch Fest, Montréal Sketchfest, North Carolina Comedy Festival, and Sketchfest Seattle’s Fall Stream where they won the Audience Choice Award. Rails Comedy’s sketch team performs regularly at the DC Arts Center and recently at the DC Improv. Rails Comedy produces Stand-Up, Sketch, Improv, and Drag shows every week in DC, so follow them @railscomedy to keep up with the excitement!

⚡️ Thunderstood - Thunderstood is a multimedia one-man sketch show (with occasional special guests) that has been performed at comedy festivals across the country. Armed with a projector and a truly odd point of view, A.J. Schraeder takes you through a stream-of-conscious presentation chock full of absurdity, weird characters, technical wizardry, and a level of earnestness seldom found at most comedy shows. His rapid-fire style and bizarre takes on existence will probably make you laugh but you’ll definitely leave the show being happy you aren’t as weird as him.

- Late seating is permitted. However, after 10 minutes after the show's start time (8:10pm), if you are not here, your seat will be released to an audience member waiting in the standby line.

- This show is likely to sell out! If we sell out, additional guests (who don't have a ticket) may wait in STANDBY line for a no-show seat. Standby line seating is NOT GUARANTEED. Additional guests should get their tickets now!

- If you're driving, we recommend budget 30 MINUTES to drive and park because of heavy traffic in the area.
- The nearest metro is the Columbia Heights Metro Station. The walk to the venue is approximately 15 minutes.
